Q: What are the participation ages?

A: Players up to 12 years old will participate in the DLCCC recreational league. Signup is through their website at www.dlccc.org. Players aged 9U, 10U, 11U and 12U can try out for a travel team, playing ~10 additional games on top of the DLCCC season. Players 12U and older register and register and participate in DL Youth Baseball.

Q: What time of the year does this program run?

A: Offseason work begins in January with Sunday-Wednesday camps at DLHS. Upon conclusion of the school baseball schedule, summer baseball commences, running through July.

Q: Where are practices and games typically held?

A: Youth players utilize Snappy Park for games and practices. Our 12U team plays and practices at DLMS. Players 13U and older bounce between Washington Park and DLHS. Your coach will release the schedule at the beginning of the year. Games may be played across the metro region.

Q: When are practices and how often are they?

A: Teams practice 2-3 times per week, depending on schedules and coaches.

Q: How many games will they play? What days of the week?

A: Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season. Games are generally played during week nights. Each team is encouraged to do at least one weekend tournament.

Q: Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?

A: Personalized jerseys are included with your registration fee. Players are responsible for purchasing a standard pants + belt + sock + cap package as laid out in the registration information.

Q: What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

A: Players and fans should expect some travel expense to get to away games. Players should have their own glove and may want to purchase their own helmet and bat.
